Hi all, welcome to our site. To tell you a little bit more about ourselves, we are two sisters, originally from Los Angeles that grew up dreaming about living in New York and getting to attend all the shows we loved and to be in any way a part of the Broadway community. Some of our earliest memories are of listening to the 10th Anniversary Concert of Les Mis and acting out the battle scene where each is shot and falls down over the barricades – we imagined it in our living room with the TV trays, and practiced falling down in slow motion. So yes, we’ve always been a bit different.
About us individually:
T1: The first show I ever saw was Evita at the San Gabriel Civic, and I was hooked – that led to Show Boat, Les Mis, Phantom, etc etc etc. When I discovered Rent the year it opened I was in 8th grade, and it was the first time that a show felt like it was mine. I can still sing the libretto by heart without the soundtrack, and often without thinking quote it in everyday conversation. I’m convinced that one day I will go crazy and only speak in quotes from musical theatre, which I’m totally okay with.
T2: Loves taking photos, American Idiot, waiting in student rush lines to see shows, and Broadway, of course. Also, I think that Sierra Boggess deserved a standing ovation after “Wishing You Were Somehow Here Again” in the Royal Albert Hall version of Phantom.
And now we’re starting a blog to share our love of Broadway, share news, interviews, updates, and lots and lots of photos with you all. We look forward to getting to know you more as well, and excited to be a part of this community!
